Hi,

If your holding period for condo is more than 4 years, there are no stamp duties payable. Penalty fee for early termination of bank loan depends on the terms & conditions of the bank package that you signed up with. Thanks and hope to assist with your housing plans further.

Good afternoon seller,

Care to share when was the purchase date of this property?

Do take note that if you sell it within 4 years of ownership, you will be subject to seller's stamp duty as per sch:

1) within 1 year -16%
2) within 1 to 2nd year - 12%
3) within 2 to 3rd year - 8%
4) within 3 to 4th year - 4%

Other expenses will be:

1) $2.5k legal fee
2) 2% agent's commission

On the same note , no stamp duty is payable if property is more than 4 years old .

Other costs .
Legal fees approx 2k onwards .
Bank penalty if any ,please check details in your loan contract .

Sell your condo after 4 years to avoid paying penalty, if I were you. At most try to rent it out and drag till 4 years then sell. It is only sensible that way. Read More
