Hi, the Letter of Intent is basically for the landlord to hold the unit for the tenant until the tenancy agreement is signed by the specified date. Hi, yes it is good for you to have the Letter Of Intent (LOI) before signing the tenancy agreement. As it protects the landlord portion too once the deposit is in as it is non refundable. Pls feel free to let me know should you need any assistance.

It's a good practice to have a LOI before TA. LOI is subject to contract and if you find something thats not right, you are still able to reject the offer.

It will be better to avoid such situation before contract (TA) rather than everything is all set.
