It depends on your monthly commitments, projected downpayment and the kind of lifestyle you prefer. As a foreigner, there are additional buyer stamp duties, which totals 18% of the purchase price. If yes, then only have to settle the down payment + Stamp duty and legal fee. Majority of the subsequent instalment should be paid by the rental.
