What is my eligibility of buying a condominium?
The combined gross income of my wife and I is $10000. Combined CPF currently stands at $80000. We have about $50000 in cash, currently staying in a HDB for 5 years. What is the possible scenarios to upgrade to a condominium or it is not possible at all? Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon Nicholas,

I will assume that you will sell off your current HDB and upgrade to a private property. In order to advise you further, I will need to find out whether are you financially capable of doing so.

Other than the finances you have on hand now, I will like to calculate the sales proceeds of your house. In order to do so, I will need info like your CPF OA utilised plus accrued interest and any outstanding loan for your current unit.

In addition, do let my banker advise you on your in principle approval so you can gauge how much loan can both of you obtain.

Hi,

Based on the limited info you have shared, it may be possible for you to upgrade to a new EC purchase. However, new EC purchase requires sale of HDB after EC Unit keys are collected. To understand whether its viable to upgrade and the options you have, it would be appreciated if I can have more details as to value-add further. Thanks and hope to discuss further.
