Good day and thank you for your query.

The transfer of ownership costs will be similar to buying and selling part of the property and may include the following:
1. Lawyer’s fees of $3,000-$5,000, much lower for HDB
2. SSD-Seller’s Stamp Duty of 4-16% of part of the market value transferred if within 4 years of last S&P signed date. For HDB, MOP must be fulfilled.
3. Stamp Duty 1-3% (3% minus $5,400 if part of the market value transferred above $360,000)
4. ABSD-Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty (5-15%) if the new owner has other existing property
5. CPF sum used include accrued interest of the person whose name was withdrawn has to be returned to CPF
6. If there’s outstanding loan, the new owner has to refinance/requalify within the new TDSR/MSR whichever applicable and all prevailing terms
7. For HDB, new MOP period may apply from the date of new transfer

It may seem complicated but most of the process will be taken care of by your trusted lawyer(s) and it has been done many times before and similar to any buying and selling.
