Hi Louis, sorry you can’t. You are required to hit the MOP of your flat first, then you be eligible to sell it.

Hi Louis,

The MOP has to be met first before you can be eligible to sell off the HDB, hence the earliest you can receive the proceeds will be around December.

May I know which condo you are looking at? I have worked on similar hdb to private property cases and will be happy to share the best approach. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

The time difference from now until October 2019 is 4 months, excluding the marketing period of the HDB. Are you looking at new launch projects or resale property? It is not an outright situation whether or not it is possible but how it can impact the seller of the private condo you are targeting.

Hi Louis,

You will not be able to secure your condo now unless the owner of the condo you have shortlisted is willing to wait for you. However, in such a scenario, you will lose your bargaining power and is not likely to get a good price for the property.

Since your MOP is only 4 months away, there is a possibility of securing the condo. I have assisted clients before who are in a similar situation and they are all happy owners of their properties now.
