The general requirement is that you will need to pay in full cash and/or CPF if no housing loan is taken. Given the still relatively low interest rates, it would make sense to leverage on it while making use of some cash for other investment related activities to generate returns which could be higher than the interest rates from the banks which will put you in a better position in the long run, however, I would like to stress that all investments come with risks therefore do your own assessment and analysis on any investments made. The ultimate consideration is that the leveraging must be within your means.
