I have a condo which is still paying for mortgage loan. I would like to purchase a HDB flat but I am not willing to give up my existing condo. Can I transfer my condo to my sis who is 41 yr old & she had just bought a HDB flat recently? What should I take into consideration of? Stamp duty, transfer fee, lawyer fee? Is it worth the transfer?

As your sister has also recently purchased a HDB flat, she will be ineligible to own a private property within the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP), therefore this is not feasible. Why are you looking at purchasing a HDB in this instance?

Good morning,

All HDB buyers are required to fulfill the MOP requirement and relinquish their private property ownership within 6 months from key collection, in the event of getting a resale.
Therefore, you cannot transfer your condo ownership to your sister.

Hi,

You can't transfer the condo since she just bought her hdb and is within the MOP period. Is there a strong reason to purchase this hdb? Do note that you have to sell away your current condo within 6 months after hdb purchase.
