I am a Singaporean and keen to buy a condo as an investment and eventually live in it. What are the requirements? I do own a hdb flat and the MOP is not 5 years ? Please advise if I can buy a condo or any type of property as investment.

Morning,

Depending on when your HDB was purchased, with or without grant, the MOP period differ. As you are likely to have utilized CPF for your current unit, you will be required to set aside the CPF minimum sum. You will also likely be eligible for 50% loan unless your HDB have being fully paid.

Hi, you are only allowed to purchase a condo after you have hit the MOP of your current HDB unit.

Hi,

Firstly you have to meet the MOP of 5 years before you can invest in another condo. Is your HDB fully paid up? If not the loan amount for condo and cpf usage could be restricted. ABSD also applies since it is your 2nd property. Thanks and hope to discuss further.
