Hi,

As of current regulations, single SPR cannot purchase hdb under their own name. Single Singaporean citizen can only purchase resale hdb when they are 35 years old and still of unmarried status.

Based on the limited info shared, it appears the best approach now appears to get the condo first, capitalize on the capital appreciation and use the proceeds to purchase the resale hdb later.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

If you bought a condo first and subsequently if you decided to buy a HDB, you will need to sell the condo within 6 months of purchasing the HDB. You may incur the Seller's Stamp Duty by doing so.

May I suggest that you purchase the condo and not the HDB since statistics have shown that the HDB price index is on the downtrend.
