Do take note that as a foreigner, you will be subject to 15% additional buyer's stamp duty unless you are exempt under a few nationalities.

What nationality are you?

If not, your cash outlay will be as such:

1) 20% downpayment
2) estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty
3) 15% ABSD
4) $2.5k legal fee
5) valuation fee, stamp duty for mortgage etc

May I know how much finances do you have on hand for the purchase so I will be in a better position to advise you on your budget.

Hi,

Typically, its approx 38% of the purchase price (20% for downpayment + 18% stamp duties approx). For a $1mil property, that's about 380k in cash required. For certain nationalities, ABSD of 15% stamp duties is not applicable. Thanks and hope to assist with your purchase further.
