Hi there, I have a HDB still within the 5 year MOP period. Im keen to rent a condo close to a primary school and change my current address so as to get distance priority for my child. I am, however, not sure if this is doable but is hoping to get some advice. Many thanks

Hi,

Its do-able, however you have to physically occupy the new address for 30 months to qualify for distance priority for the primary school.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Good evening!

Yes that is definitely doable. However, you have to occupy the address for a minimum of 30 months to be eligible for the distance priority for the primary school.

Here's an article that explains it too: http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/education/p1-registration-child-must-live-at-declared-address-for-at-least-30-months-from
