Hi,

She can always advertise in Newspaper and wait for direct tenant to contact her.

Should an agent brings a tenant, and successfully rent the unit from her, she still has to pay commission to that agent, even though the agent belongs to the tenant.

1 month rent (+GST) equivalent for every 2 year lease.

Is there any reason why she is anti agent ?

Since she is not willing to engage the service of an agent, yet it is an agent that is answering this query.

It is definitely not wise to try to do something on her own when she has no knowledge of it.

Hi, if your aunt does not want any agent to assist her, then she could advertise thru the newspaper or using those free website like the Gumtree but the response will be very poor.

Hi,

If your aunt does not want to work with just one agents, she has to the choice to work with a few agents to market her property for rent.

Standard practice for rental commission payable for a one year lease is half a month's rental and for two year lease it will be a month's rental.
