Good morning,

If you do not mind selling your private property first and wait for 30 months before been eligible for the application, yes. Otherwise, you will not be eligible for it as of now.

Hi,

Yes, a simple answer.
You have to be aware that there are some conditions to fulfill:
(1) Single:
(a) Age: at least or above 35yrs old
(b) Household income: <$12K
(c) Does not own subsidized HDB flat or BTO twice in a lifetime.
(d) Can apply only 2-room in outer-urban area.

(2) Couple:
(a) One of you must be a SC.
(b) Form a family nucleus
(c) Can apply for all types of flats.

On top of the above, you have to take note:
(A) Has to dispose of any foreign property within 6 months upon getting the keys
(B) Must produce a marriage certificate within 3 months.
(C) Has to dispose of local private property within 6 months upon getting the keys.

You will need to observe the 30 months waiting period after selling your private property and also satisfy other eligibility conditions such as the family nucleus and the income ceiling when purchasing a BTO.

You may want to consider getting a resale flat or another private property instead of waiting and renting another place for the time being. 30 months plus another 3-4 years for the construction is quite a long waiting period.
