However, you will be subjected to a Seller's Stamp Duty (SSD) if the property is less than 3 years from the TOP. There is no SSD, if it is more than 3 years. Yes you can do that but do note to sell after the 3 years holding period so to avoid the SSD. Also, the smaller unit owner may sell it to you at a higher price than what he/she got from Developer.

What good about private property is you are not restricted by the time. You definitely can sell upon TOP but will incur seller stamp duty if you sell within the 3 years. When does the 3 years start from? This is very important as it will determine when you will not incur the selling stamp duty.
