Hi, I viewed a condo unit recently and found out that an attic room and bathroom was added by one of the previous owners. The seller did not include the extra square footage as part of the selling price, but the seller also cannot verify that the addition has been approved by URA/BCA or the MCST. Is it a common practice for lofts or attics to be built without the necessary legal approvals? Thanks!
