Hi. I am currently living in a 4-room HDB flat in Sengkang with my wife and 2 kids. Our MOP would be 2016 March. We would like to upgrade to an EC 4-room. We still have housing loan to pay. But in 6 years time, housing payment would be finish. We both are civil servants drawing a total gross of $7300. How can we upgrade to an EC? Thanks.

Morning Imran,

As you are aware of your MOP requirement, you can only apply for EC upon having it fulfilled. I'm afraid you might have to wait it out.

Good day Mr Imran,

I understand that you are looking to upgrade to an EC. If your current 4 room flat was purchased directly from HDB, MOP has to be fulfilled before you can make your EC purchase.

However, if your 4 room flat was bought from the open market with no grant taken, as long as you fulfil the MOP before the TOP of the new EC, you will be able to upgrade.
