Hi,

1) In reality a person's life is not too long.
2) If you are looking to invest in a private residence for inheritance purposes, you may consider a freehold or 999 yrs condo.
3) In current Government land sales (GLS), the govt no longer releases any freehold or 999 yrs leasehold.
4) You may find new development which is freehold getting lesser and lesser because these are from enblock. And not all enbloc development will be selling at freehold.
5) Some of the enbloc new development only selling at 99 or 101 yrs, meaning the company is keeping it for their successor.
6) Bear in mind, potential growth of the property does not depend on the holding tenure.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards

Dear Buyer,
Our human life has a limited lifespan. Just like that, anything we build also has a certain life span. Due to fair wear and tear condos also detiorate. Thirty to forty years is a decent time span before condos show tell tale signs. Often, it is the electricity cables, water proofing of the various floors etc will slowly give way. That is when owners get together and put up their condos for ENBLOC sale.

So, although you can own your condo FOREVER, you have to discount the fact that they normally do not. So, buying a FREEHOLD or LEASEHOLD development does not make much difference in the long term. Some of the best developments recently are Leasehold developments.

There is also the govt land acquisition for various valid reasons. So, all things being equal YES, in name and title, you can own a condo FOREVER! Do contact me for the best deals in TOWN!

Cheers!
