Yes, sure you can for some of the showflats. However, I would strongly suggest you fix an appointment with a trusted agent nevertheless.

You do not need to pay any agent commission, as the commission is being paid by the Developer. Hence, why not utilise the services of someone who's well versed, who can give you advice on the most ideal units that's most suited to your needs?

Hi Mr. H T,

For new launches purchase, the developer side will require an agent to assist you and will assign one for you randomly even if you walk in. The purchase price quoted is the same and direct from developer pricing. You also need not pay agent commission as a buyer of new launch condo.

Yes it is possible to walk in and purchase a unit without an agent. However, it is better to engage an agent so that he or she will be able to do some analysis for you to compare the pros and cons of different projects, do the stack analysis and value add to your purchase process.

Currently there are lots of new projects in Singapore but not all are worth investing in it.
Choosing the right unit is important as well

There is many factor that affect property prices, some will be:
- Location and infrastructure
- State and condition of the property
- Lease (freehold or leasehold)
- entry price
- facing of the unit, etc

We need to analyze all factors to decide whether it is worth to buy.
Any particular unit or development you are looking at?

2. How many bedrooms are you looking at and which area you prefer?

3. Do you intend to take loan for your purchase?
If yes, Before shortlisting project/unit, I will suggest to check your in principal approval of your loan from banker.

1) Yes, it is perfectly alright to buy without any appointment with agents, although this is rare to see.
2) I understand that someone like you have your personal opinion on which is the best buy for you.
3) However, because buying a property whether for own stay or for investment or for both. It is recommended to talk to an agent to understand more.
4) You have to know what you are getting and why. The cost, return-on-investment, and rental yield in several areas. Low level, high level, facing, etc are things that should be taken into account.
5) Those who walk in and buy sometimes are greatly influenced by the salesperson and find this is a good investment but might have ignored other factors that might not be the best for them.
6) Since you are investing such a high sum why not listen and hear from someone who could explain everything to you before making a purchase.
7) The above are the reasons why more than 99% of buyers are accompanied by an agent. They had to buy with info and make a logical decision rather than an emotional purchase.
8) Finally, you are not paying for both ways of purchase. You have nothing to lose by accompanied by an agent into a showroom.
