Its similar in the sense you need to meet MOP of 5 years before you can sell the EC. I am currently marketing units at Austville Residences and Belysa EC, and have buyers still enquiring.

For ECs purchased directly from developer, you will be required to observe the 5 years Minimum Occupatin Period before you are eligible to sell. For cases where you are looking to sell before the MOP, you will be required to obtain permission from HDB. For resale ECs, you are eligible to sell at any point of time, however, Seller's Stamp Duty maybe applicable if you are selling within the 3 or 4 years period from your date of purchase.

If you had bought this EC direct from the Developer, or had purchased from the previous Seller whom did not fulfiill the 5-year MOP, you will need to serve the 5-year MOP before you can sell it off in the open market.

If you had already fulfilled the MOP, you can sell to SC and PRs if your EC is beyond 5 years but younger than 10 years. If your EC is beyond 10 years, you can also sell to Foreigners.
