i recently purchased a condo - but it does not come with spare keys. I have asked my lawyers but they told me it does happen occasionally - where previous owner didnt hold spare key and tenant has it all (due to exclusive tenancy). Is it correct legally? Or is it because its common practice? Does this mean i have to approach the tenant to ask for the spare key?
