Toa Payoh BTO Nov 2020 Review (Bartley Beacon and ParkView at Bidadari)
If you thought Bidadari’s past life as Singapore’s largest grave site would spook new home buyers, think again. HDB started offering Bidadari BTO flats in 2015, and since then, ‘business’ has been booming. Thanks to its central location (it’s in the Toa Payoh area), the Bidadari estate has been among the most sought-after in the past few years’ BTO launches.
The November 2020 Toa Payoh BTO flats will be located in Bidadari too. This time, the new Bartley Beacon and ParkView at Bidadari flats will be in two separate locations, about 1km from each other. Collectively, they will consist of 3-room, 4-room, and 5-room flats, with 1,230 flats up for grabs.
Will these Toa Payoh BTO flats in Bidadari be worth applying for? Let’s find out.

What to expect from the November 2020 Toa Payoh (Bidadari) BTO flats

1) Central location with convenient access to the North-East Line (NEL), Circle Line (CCL) and Pan-Island Expressway (PIE)

Residents of the new Bidadari BTO flats will enjoy easy access to 2 different MRT lines.

Woodleigh MRT (NEL) and Bartley MRT (CCL) stations

The first cluster of flats will be located right beside the upcoming Alkaff Lake, and will be 700m metres away from Woodleigh MRT (NEL). The other cluster will be right beside Maris Stella High School, and will be 200 metres away from Bartley MRT (CCL).
From Bartley MRT, it takes only about half an hour to reach Marina Bay. Taking the NEL instead? Travelling from Woodleigh MRT to Dhoby Ghaut will only take you 25 minutes.

Pan-Island Expressway (PIE)

Drivers will be pleased to know that the PIE is only a 5-minute drive away. Want to avoid peak period jams? The Toa Payoh BTO flats are also close to major roads like Bartley Road and Upper Paya Lebar Road, granting you convenient access to the north, south, east, and west of Singapore.

2) Living close to Bidadari Park

Bidadari Park will be located near Alkaff Lake, which is almost right at the doorsteps of the Toa Payoh BTO flats.
To be completed in 2022, Bidadari Park will comprise Alkaff Lake, a 700-metre Heritage Walk, open lawns, and 6 kilometres of wooded trails where you can observe flora and fauna. The park will be perfect for cycling, jogging, and strolls amidst nature and greenery.
Green attractions aside, there aren’t any malls within walking distance from the BTO flats as of today. The nearest would be The Venue Shoppes, which is a short drive or bus ride away.
However, The Woodleigh Mall, to be situated a stone’s throw from the BTO flats near Alkaff Lake, will probably be ready by the time residents move into the BTO flats. This mall will be ready in 2022, and will have amenities like a supermarket and enrichment centres.

3) Popular schools in the area

Hoping to get your kids into good schools? The Bidadari estate is in close proximity to established primary and secondary schools. You can take your pick from institutions such as Cedar Primary School (800 metres), Cedar Girls’ Secondary School (1 kilometre), Maris Stella High School (10 Metres), and Saint Andrew’s Junior College (2.3 kilometres).

November 2020 Toa Payoh / Bidadari BTO Review (Bartley Beacon and ParkView at Bidadari)

Apart from new developments already underway, we can expect more and more new amenities to be introduced into this young and promising estate. Top that off with a central location, great transport accessibility, and good schools in the area, and you’re probably looking at prices that won’t come cheap.
