wanting to buy a private condo/apartment at 1.0 -1.5 million. I'm a foreigner so no cpf account. What min percentage down payment is it in Singapore? 20%? what are the stamp duty for a foreigner? what are solicitors + agent fees like? any other cash outlays to consider?

Good evening, yes you are right that the minimum downpayment is 20% provided you are able to obtain a 80% bank loan. Do take note that 15% Additional Buyer Stamp Duty will be payable on top of estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty as a foreign buyer. Hello, First best of wishes for your homesearch. As a foreigner, the costs involved are : cash downpayment of 20% of the Principal. Buyers stamp duty of 3%-$5400.00, Additional Buyers stamp duty of 15%. Legal fees of around 3.5 to 4K. My first advise to you would be to approach a Bank and get an inprincipal sanction on the basis of your documents. This would give you an indication of your budget and cash flow.
