Hi,

you can buy an EC if you are SC or SPR. No income ceiling cap. For resale EC, there is no 5 years MOP but there is a 3 years duration where Seller's stamp study is in play.

Only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible to purchase ECs between 5 to 10 years old, and they are not subjected to restrictions like income ceiling and Minimum Occupation Period, which is why it is often a popular choice especially for Permanent Residents since they are ineligible to apply for brand new ECs. Nevertheless, if we look into the existing price trend, such resale ECs may no longer be as attractive as before given the room for appreciation and the recent private launches b developers where prices are relatively close. If we may understand more about your purchasing requirements, there could potentially be more optimal choices for you and your family to consider?

Buying a resale EC is like buying a private condo. There are no minimum occupation restrictions. You will be eligible to buy as long as you are either a Singaporean or a SPR.
