Hi Shayne, Unfortunately, if you are referring to real estate in Singapore, the potential of being a good investment is really not as attractive now, but is still a good hedge. Unless you are able to secure a superb fire sale unit, then it may turn out into a good investment. Considering the price range of property you are likely able to afford supposed that the cash component and CPF available are purely for the downpayment and you have all other miscellaneous covered, your choices will also be pretty limited and with a low quantum property, chances of a fire sale will be extremely remote.
