Hi We are HDB upgrader and would like to buy a new EC for my parents and my sister to stay with us but my wife and me has exceeded the new EC income ceiling by $2350, is there anyway that we can successfully appeal to purchase a new EC?

Hi Hamburger family,

As EC follows strictly on the guideline from HDB, there is very little possibility your appeal can be successful. For your information, ECs are normally located Outside Core Central Region (OCCR), and since you are comfortable with OCCR, have you consider private condo in OCCR. To elaborate, private condo does not have restriction like EC, however, in terms of pricing, it is relatively comparable in OCCR.
