Hi! I have just applied for Singapore PR; at what stage of buying property would the PR need to be confirmed, to be able to avoid ABSD. Tony B

Hi Tony B,

Congrat for getting your Singapore PR.

In fact, as a PR in Singapore, you will not be subjected to ABSD for your first property, it only kicks in for your second property.

If you are a foreigner (not PR), then you will have to pay ABSD for the very first property.
