Hi,

I arrange a home viewing myself through property guru. If it is successful, i knew that I can get the seller agent to help on the paper work. May I know, how much should I pay him?

1% commission ??

If it a HDB usually it will be 1%. Actually why not try doing it at your own. It might not be as difficult as you think.

Congrats on finding your dream home. But not sure of you are having a proper plan behind your purchase.

The listing agent is not allowed to receive any commission from you as a buyer if he or she is already collecting commission from the seller.

The key thing now is that since you are willing to pay a fees as commission to an agent for providing you professional assistance in the paperworks, why not allow the agent to run through the full spectrum of shortlisting the prospective units and making arrangements for viewing based on your agreed schedule?

More importantly, he or she can help identify if the prospective shortlisted unit is a worthy investment based on your needs and future plans.

The Seller's agent is representing the Seller, and getting commission from the Seller. He is not allowed to "dual-represent" by collecting commission from you, the Buyer.

We are not allowed to get commission from you if we are already representing the seller.
You have mentioned 1% thus does it mean you are ok to pay 1%?
