Would like to sell my 999 years condo and buy new EC? what are the hinderance?

Hi,
Unfortunately for new EC application, you have to wait out a 30month period after selling your condo before you can apply for new EC. For resale EC and new private condo, there is no such regulation. Is there any particular reason why you are considering this new EC? Thanks and hope to understand your housing plans before further value-adding.
