Would like to check whether am i eligible to buy a resale flat with my mum? Me (Applicant,33,single, SC), my mum (Occupier,63,widow,long term social visit pass). If lets say i am eligible to buy a resale flat and my elder brother would like to sell away his flat to me, what procedure do we need to do? Thanks.

Afternoon,

You can purchase resale HDB unit under non-citizen family scheme. You will have to be the applicant while your mum will be the essential occupier. Should you choose to purchase the unit from your brother, standard S&P procedure applies.

Hi Andrew,

Yes! You will be eligible to purchase under the non citizen family scheme. The sale from your brother to you will need to go through the normal resale process by the HDB.

You will need to obtain a HDB Loan Eligibility letter from HDB or get an In Principal Approval from the bank before purchasing it from your brother.
