Dear buyer,
It should be a subtle way to find out if you have already worked out your sums for the intended purchase when it comes to loan amount instead of just asking if you have the money to purchase. We have came across some buyers who have not done anything to assess their financial profile but are viewing houses like seasoned investors. As listing salesperson, our duty is to market the property for our clients but we are basically trading these activities with our time, therefore when buyers are not ready to commit to a purchase (financial assessment not done), we would then check with buyers if they need assistance to get these assessment done to facilitate the whole purchasing process. Also to find out which scheme are you purchasing under, we are simply checking if you are aware of the pre-requisites on purchasing a HDB instead as there are buyers who simply do not qualify to purchase a resale HDB at all but are calling up to make viewing appointments.
