Whats the difference between a resale and a BTO for first timers.

Hi,
BTO is considered subsidized housing hence prices are more affordable. You get a brand new unit but you need to be lucky in balloting to get a decent unit. It takes 3-4 years for construction to complete.
Resale on the other hand is usually priced higher and you are buying from other owners. You may qualify for some grants based on eligiblity conditions. The upside is you can get your flat within 3 to 4 months.
