What if me n my gf have paid a 5% n 15% down payment for a EC unit, in a event we are not married and during the waiting time etc: (cross finger+ touch wood)
one party met a accident n passed on, wat will happens to the EC? Deposit get forfeited?

Hi,

In such unfortunate scenario, it is difficult to say, but my guess is likely HDB will consider the case circumstances and perhaps give you the option of re-fulfilling the eligibility of the EC application, most likely requiring you to add you parent in. Any CPF utilized by the departing applicant must be returned to their estate. It may not be so straightforward as after all, these are rare and extreme cases, and HDB has the final discretion on the final decision.
