1) Do you mean loan eligibility?

5% Cash = $50,000
20% Cash/CPF = $200,000

Hi Janice,

1) The government already come out with a standard over this affordability by introducing various cooling measures.
2) Current only 55% of the monthly salary is allowed to be used in the monthly mortgage.
3) Therefore if your loan amount after using TDSR to assess tells you whether you are able to afford this particular property.
4) On top of this, you are only able to loan a maximum of up to 75% of the LTV (Loan-To-Value). It means that you have to fork out the 25% down payment for the purchase.
5) Therefore you should be fine if your loan amount + your current saving is equal to or higher than the purchase price.
6) Usually I'll add on to include the buyer stamp duty as part of your budget assessment as this is an additional ~3% of the purchase price.
