Went for viewing a couple of weeks back, made an offer based on their asking price but owner suddenly jacked up their price. Found out later that it was because of an impending EGM which might possibly result in an enbloc sale. Is jacking up the price even legal?

Hi,

As long as the Seller have not issued you the OTP, he has the right to reject your offer and ask for a higher price.

However, once the Seller issued you the OTP based on your offered price, the ball is in you court, and the Seller cannot back out on this deal.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you and your partner in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
