The amount of legal fees will depends on whether you are using HDB or private lawyer.

You can gauge the estimate of HDB legal fees via:
http://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BB14LFEESENQ/BB14PHomePage.jsp

Normally pay on first appointment.

And private legal fees is normally $2500 range. You can pay this anytime till completion.

Morning,

Legal fee for selling and buying will range from less than $1k to $5k or $6k. The difference is based on the type of mortgage loan you are having and will be getting. Stamp fee for purchase will be dependent on your purchase price. And if you are SPR, you will be liable for 5% ABSD upon purchase of the new residential unit.
