Good morning,

No issue if you are buying a private property.

If you guys will like to buy a HDB, you have to fulfill 5 years minimum occupation period first before eligible to rent out the whole unit. If you wish to rent out bedrooms, owners have to physically occupying the unit as well.

Hi,

1) This is possible if buying a private property.
2) Because HDB flat is not supposed to rent out the whole unit within 5 years MOP.

3) There are 2 ways of doing it:
(a) Appoint a POA
(b) Get the OTP & S&P courier for your signature. This has to highlight to the seller to give ample timing for the sending document in and out of the country.
Because the speed of overseas couriers is badly affected by the pandemic, and it is much slower than before. Thus a lot of things had to be pre-planned to ensure the whole transaction can be as smooth as possible.

4) You will have to get a mortgage loan from a bank located in Singapore.
5) Most banks recognize active income from overseas.

Yes this is possible. As long as you are able to provide your income statements, the bank will be able to grant you a housing loan in Singapore.

Hi,

This is possible for private property.

However for HDB, you need to purchase and fulfil minimum occupation period of 5 years beford you can rent out the whole unit. As long as you are able to furnish income statements, it is also possible to loan from the bank.

Also it will be also important to appoint someone trustworthy in Singapore to be the Power of Attorney for your property purchase as well.
