We are Singaporean couple who have 290K cpf and 150k cash, we are elligible to borrow about 900K from the bank. May I know what's the budget if we want to buy condo with above amount factor in the stamp duty, legal fees etc...

If you are looking at private condo and this is your 1st purchase, your max budget should not exceed 1.3m. That would meant that most of cash would be wipe out. Good afternoon, in fact if you take 20% downpayment and 3% buyer's stamp duty into consideration, you can easily purchase a $1.9M property with your CPF OA funds and cash on hand but your restriction will be your 80% bank loan ($900k). So after taking this into consideration, comfortable budget will be $1.1M to $1.3M. I can send you an excel sheet to further explain my calculations.
