Hi,

There are no restriction on buying HDB flat using all cash.

However, you have to know that you might not be able to fulfill MOP (Minimum Occupation Period) since all of you are located overseas.

The implication by not able to fulfill MOP are:
(1) You are not allowed to rent out the whole unit unless receive approval from HDB.
If you receive approval from HDB, the period you rent out your flat is not counted as MOP.

(2) You are not allowed to sell without approval from HDB.

Yes, you are eligible to purchase a HDB flat and pay for it in full CASH.

May I know what's your plan for the purchase? Are you aware that you will need to fulfill a 5-year MOP upon the purchase? This means that you will not be allowed to sell off the flat or rent it out (unless with special approval) within the first 5 years.

Hi.

Yes you may buy a hdb , but do note the trade off such as you have to dispose all your other residential property locally and overseas . In addition you cannot rent out your hdb therefore no rental income.

Alternatively , you are NOT bounded by the above two mentioned restrictions , if you buy private property instead .

Hi

Yes if you're thinking to purchase HDB to rent out which you can only do so after 5 years, i may have a better proposal for you in terms of investment perspective. You don't need full cash payment either and the plus point is you are still holding Singapore Citizenship.

Can check with you guys whether do you own any overseas residential property overseas? Perhaps yes?

Do take note that you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB with full cash but you will need to dispose off any private property be it in Singapore or overseas within 6 months from purchase completion date.

By the way, care to share the intention of purchasing a resale HDB for passive income?
