EC below age of 10 are eligible to SC and PR. If it's your first property, you do not need to pay for ABSD but you can only purchase under PR ownership.
To purchase unit under both names, you will have to look into EC that's 10 years or older. If both of you are single, you will be liable for 10% ABSD.
As to how much cash you need would depend on which project you are looking at and the unit size. Your income and credit status will also determine how much the bank can dish to you.

    We are trying to understand how much it would cost. Can you give us sample numbers for small to meduim unit sizes. We are a married couple. What ABSD applies if we buy under both names?
