Too many questions to browse so I will just ask it here. From what I gather, am I right to assume that if I want to buy a private property regardless of new or 2nd hand I also do not need to pay any commission? So that means if I am interested in a particular unit in propertyguru, I just have to contact the respective agents who publish the advert and she or he will do all the paperwork and complete the transaction for me without having to pay a single cent of commission right?

Hi, yes but you are partially right. It is true that you do not need to pay any commission to your agent who will be assisting you whether you are buying a new or a resale private unit. However if you are contacting the respective agents who are advertising for their seller, it means to say that these agents are representing their seller and also protecting their seller interest as well. So in the event of a hiccup during a closure of a deal, your interest are not being protected at all and could result in a frustrating state of condition if that occur. Pls feel free to let me know if you have any other query or need any assistance.

Afternoon,

For new launches, you do not need to pay the agent the commission for purchase. He/she will assist you on th enecessary documentations. However for resale, if the seller agent are not willing to share his commission with your agent, he/she might request payment from you.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion
