Soon I will be moving to Singapore and I will look for a private condo to rent. How much time is there on average between visiting a private condo (and signing the rental contract) and actually being able to move into the apartment?

Hi Dr Joeri, that is not really a concern. Because once you found a unit that you prefer and if it is fully furnished, you could move right in on that day itself.

Hi Dr Coppens,

As you now know, how soon you can move in depends on availability and negotiation with the landlord.

It can be 'same day', to 1 month.

I have done rental from viewing to moving in, in 3 days.

More importantly is to find a unit that you can call 'Home away from Home'.

If you can contact me via email and we can take it from there.

I pride myself in being able to consistently help my client secure a rental unit that suit them perfectly.

A have a standard procedure that work very well in helping expats with rental.

Do write to me and we take it from there.

regards

Hi Dr Joeri,
It is possible to sign the contract on the same day. But generally, at least 2 - 3 days. Items to be prepared are at least 2 months rental (1 month rental for security deposit and 1 month rental for advance payment) and employment pass ...etc

To assist and advise you more in details, kindly drop me an email for me to share.

I am contactable at my mobile or email.

Hi Dr Joeri Coppens

The fastest time that I have done was viewing and signing the tenancy agreement on the same day. Moving in next week as the client has to return home.

Doing everything within a day including moving-in may be possible. However, it will be determined by various factors such as availability of landlord and agent, capability of agent, unit turnover time.

A good lead time will be between 2 weeks to 1 month without being hasty. Key to every rental option is your flexibility.

You may write to gavin.ng@orangetee.com

Hi Dr Coppens,

Once you have shortlisted an unit, it will takes about 3-4 days to churn out the contract and if unit is vacant, can be immediate

Let me know if you need more info or assistance to source for a rental unit.

Many Thanks.
