singapore citizen. we have HDB unit that we rent out. Currently, we are staying overseas and own a property overseas (we bought HDB in 2003 and overseas property in 2021 and living in it). Plan to downgrade HDB (EA to 4 room). Can I still buy the 2nd HDB while still owning the overseas property?

Hi,

You have to sell away all local and overseas properties, wait out 15 months, before you are eligible to purchase another resale HDB. If you are 55 years and above, and if you purchase resale 4-room, you need not wait 15 months first after selling, but you will still need to sell both existing EA and overseas property.

You are unable to do so. Your overseas property has to be disposed and you will have to wait out for a period of 15 months before you are eligible to do so, unless you are age 55 years old an above.
