Good morning Karen,

It's great hearing from you.

Do take note as a foreign buyer, you will be subject to a total of up to 18% stamp duties for your purchase (estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty and 15% additional buyer's stamp duty as a foreigner).

And foreigners are allowed to purchase condo and apartments (be it leasehold or freehold) in Singapore. But foreigners are only eligible to purchase landed in Sentosa and not Singapore mainland.

1) 15% ABSD Remission for Citizenship - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, USA
2) No restriction on Condominiums. There are certain strata-landed houses within Condominium estate that are not under foreign ownership restriction. Do call me for the projects that you can choose from.

Hi Karen,

In general, all landed homes (less those located on the island of Sentosa) are restricted properties where only Singapore Citizens are eligible, however, there are a handful of projects where foreigners can purchase and these are properties within a condominium project. More importantly when purchasing a property in Singapore is the financing aspect as the authorities have in place various measures to cool the hot market, restricting loan amount (60% TDSR as well as ABSD), therefore before making any moves, it is best to speak to a fincially qualified person for advise and assessment first.
