Ms Tan,

The two HDB appointments are compulsory.

First appointment is based on availability while second appointment is 6 to 8 weeks from first appointment.

If you are obtaining bank loan, your law firm will send someone to attend second appointment for you as you need to engage private lawyer which means you dont have to attend second appointment.

Morning Ms Tan,

For HDB to complete it's transaction, it will require 2 appointments at HDB. The buyers who are represented by private lawyer are not require to attend the completion appointment. The time saving factor comes in as some private lawyer are able to complete the necessary documentation within 6 weeks, instead of 8 weeks under standard HDB lawyers. However, do note that this period varies, depending on complexity of your case.
