Once my HDB flat is sold and my wife and I do not own any property, if individually we buy a property each, under single name, is ABSD applicable?
This will be considered as 1st property right?

Yes,you are right.Once you dispose off your HDB and purchase under individual names,ABSD is not applicable when you buy a property each.Please feel free to contact me if you have any further queries.I have a few new launches in city fringe area.Thanks

Morning Mike,

Upon the completion of sales, both of you are eligible to purchase private property under individual names. If both of you are SC, ABSD is not required. But if either of you are PR, 5% ABSD is still required.

No ABSD applies if you are singaporean buying first property.
