Hi, there are several reasons to it and probably there are many viewers over the weekend and thus the seller decided to mark up the price higher.

Hi,

There are many reasons for that to happen, and it is not uncommon for Sellers to adjust prices, be it up or down.

Perhaps you could ask the agent why is the price increased?

Dear sir/mdm,

Like what Aaron and Robbie have indicated, there are differing reasons for any adjustment of prices. I have myself purchased my existing home at an adjusted pricing where my seller increased the price after initial listing. It did not feel good definitely, but my wife and I decided to proceed because it fits into our family requirements.

In contrast, I am sure that many will not battle an eyelid in the event where listing price is reduced overnight, which is what most buyers hope for.

Warmest regards,

Hi;

I think this question would be best answered by the marketing agent itself.. As it could be due to many reasons.. Sometimes owner feels that their asking is too low and want to revise? or could be due to other reasons.. You may like to engaged an agent to safe guard your interest in your property purchase. Feel free to contact me for further discussion.. Thanks

Hi

Sellers tend to adjust the market price based on their agent advise taking into account the demand of their current flat and the asking prices within the same neighbourhood or block. Due to urgency in selling their flat, some sellers might sense a high demand from the number of viewings and realised that they have listed their flat at a price too low. However a common reason for price adjustment is when seller do realised that the asking price is way too low compared to other seller's asking price of flat of the same size and in the same neighbourhood. A simple explanation is when you are asking for $500k but your next door neighbour's flat of the same size is asking for $550k. You will then be tempted to increase your asking price to at least $540k as buyers will still purchase your flat as it is still cheaper than your neighbour's flat. I do conduct free and non obligatory consultations in regards to property transactions in Singapore. Do contact me at 93375051  for a discussion on this.
