To ensure you can upgrade seamlessly from your condo to a landed property, I will suggest you draw up a financial plan so that you can have a good overview of your cash position. From the plan, you will be able to find out how much sales proceed you can get after the sale of the condo as well as how much cash is required for the purchase of the landed. When you have these figures, you will be able to determine whether it will be financially comfortable to do the upgrade.
Besides the financial portion, it will be good to plan the timeline for the sale and purchase so that you can avoid the need to pay Additional Buyer Stamp Duty and also the need for an interim housing solution.
