do take note that the ABSD applicable for this purchase will be 15% if it's purchased under both names because you are a foreigner.
If you decide to purchase solely under your wife's name, it will be 5%.
Initial outlay will be:
1) 5% cash
2) 15% CPF/ cash
3) estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty
4) 15% ASBD
5) $3k legal fees etc
Based on your loan, you can look at property around $563k but if you are looking at properties in 2018, it could be difficult.
Probably you can share more information with me so I will be in a better position to advise you further. FYI there might be a studio/ 1 bedder around $600k+ that TOP in 2018. Will you be keen to find out more about it?
