My wife a Singapore PR has 2landed properties in Johore, and a company registered in JB that owned a house in Johore which I have a 49% share Can I buy a resale Hdb, under my single ownship either resale or new which I doubt thank you

Good afternoon Sir,

you have to form a family nucleus with your wife in order to buy a resale HDB. Either as both owners or 1 owner and the other as essential occupiers. So no sole owner.

Your wife has to dispose off her residential properties overseas within 6 months from resale HDB completion date.

If you want to apply for BTO, your wife has to dispose off her overseas properties then observe 30 months waiting period before you can apply.

If you guys feel its too haste, you might want to consider private segment in which there's no such restrictions.

Hi Sir,

Yes, if you're a Singapore Citizen, you can purchase a HDB resale flat under your sole name, with your wife as an essential occupier.

Do note that as an essential occupier, your Wife will have to dispose off her private properties latest within 6 months upon the HDB flat purchase.

If this is not what you're looking at, then you can probably explore the private property segment.

Hi,

1) Both of you owned overseas property thus if buying a resale HDB flat, both of you have to sign an undertaking to dispose of them within 6 months upon key collection.
2) If you intend to buy a new HDB flat, you will have to wait for 30 months after selling all overseas properties before being eligible to apply.
3) Since you are married your spouse's name has to be included in the application, regardless she is an occupier or owner.
